Sustrans bike ride in Clumber Park

by | 13 July 2018 | Exercise, Hobbies, Retford, Sports Club, Worksop

Join volunteers from the Sustrans Bassetlaw Group on Sunday 22nd July for a short-guided bike ride. This is the first of a series of rides arranged particularly for anyone new to cycling and those who have perhaps not cycled much recently, or prefer to cycle shorter distances. Come along to meet a friendly bunch of cyclists and enjoy the fresh air and scenery from your bike.

The route will be on mainly traffic-free roads and cycle paths within Clumber Park. The distance is approximately 15 miles and the ride will be kept at a moderate pace so that no one gets left behind. Participants will also be able to opt for a shorter distance should they wish to do so. Hybrid and mountain type bikes, including E bikes, will be suitable.
The ride is free apart from Clumber Park entry charges. Under-18s need to bring a responsible adult with them. The start time will be 10.00am and the full-length version of the ride should end by approximately 3.00pm.
