Join volunteers from the Sustrans Bassetlaw Group on Sunday 12th August for a short guided bike ride. This is the second of their rides arranged particularly for anyone new to cycling and those who have perhaps not cycled much recently or prefer to cycle shorter distances. Come along to meet a friendly bunch of cyclists and enjoy exploring Sherwood Pines by bike.
The route will be mainly on traffic-free forest tracks. The distance is approximately 15 miles and the ride will be kept at a moderate pace so that no one gets left behind. Participants will also be able to opt for a shorter distance should they wish to do so. Hybrid and mountain type bikes, including E bikes, will be suitable.
The ride is free apart from Sherwood Pines parking charges. Under-18s need to bring a responsible adult with them. The start time will be 10.00am and the full-length version of the ride should end by approximately 3.00pm.
