Two monthly National Trust initiatives are returning to Clumber Park.

Trust10 is a free 10k event which encourages people to get outdoors, explore special places and take up a new challenge.
Held at 9.00am on the fourth Sunday of each month, the charity has a series of 10k routes at a selection of places across the UK. The team at Clumber Park has devised a 5k two-loop route which will allow runners to take in its key vantage points and striking views of the Lake.

The National Trust has a number of Trust10s already underway across the country, offering all who take part a unique opportunity to explore their places for free.

“We’re really excited to be relaunching the Trust10 here at Clumber Park; it will be a great opportunity for people to have a regular goal each month, as well as a chance to explore this special place. We want as many people to enjoy their local environment as possible,” said Steff Rae, Visitor Operations and Experience Manager.

The first Trust10 took place in June. No booking is required. For more information or to volunteer for the events please contact tom.evans@nationaltrust.org.uk.

For those wanting a more sedate exercise, Pushabout is a walking group created for anyone who has, or looks after, pushchair-aged children. It’s a great way for mums, dads, grandparents or carers to get active, enjoy some fresh air and make new friends while looking after their baby or toddler.

Held at 10.15am on the second Monday of each month, these accessible walks are generally around three miles in length and mostly on hard-standing paths. Friendly NT volunteers lead participants on different routes, depending on the season, and are on hand to help build up walking potential. Dogs are permitted on the walks but must be kept on a lead.

“We’re delighted to be offering Pushabout again. These accessible walks, through the beautiful parkland here at Clumber Park, offer the opportunity to meet other adults, find support and build up fitness on a basic level,” said Charlotte Hancock, Programming and Partnership Officer.

The first Pushabout will take place on Monday 11th July. Meet under the Clock Tower within the main facilities at 10.15am ready for a 10.30am start. Normal admission into the Park applies. For more information, please contact charlotte.hancock@nationaltrust.org.uk.
