Representing Bassetlaw Action Centre, Adele Lawson was the speaker at Bassetlaw Cardiac Support Group on Friday 1st June. Anyone requiring home support (not being a carer) may apply for assistance. There is a small membership charge for people requiring transport (no charge for an accompanying carer).
A minibus and driver is available for groups and a ‘Stay Well’ scheme and stroke/neuro service plus assistance can help in numerous ways. Adele suggested that, although this service is available within the Bassetlaw postcode, a call to Citizens Advice will be able to put anyone in touch with such services local to themselves.
