Riverside Indoor Bowls Club

Riverside Indoor Bowls Club (RIBs) recently held a very enjoyable Members Social Evening at the Blues Club in Gainsborough to thank members for their support. They would like to thank the Blues Club and also the Lincoln Cooperative Society, Heapham Road, who helped RIBs put on a well-received buffet supper. They also had a quiz and a raffle and the evening provided a good opportunity for members to chat and catch up.

Trustees were able to convey some very positive news about the probability of a combined sports facility in the town, with help from members of West Lindsey District Council and the Town Council who can steer them towards funding once a feasibility report has been prepared. A working committee has been formed by all interested parties.

With the planned regeneration of the town already progressing, this would not only provide an indoor bowls hall for the district but the ability to incorporate other sports and facilities within the complex. Members left with much more positivity after hearing some very important details.

The club now need to increase membership, so anyone wishing to show support to RIBs please contact Lynda Enever on 01427 614627 or Lyndry@sky.com, or Linda Grocock on 01427 614682 or lindagrocock@hotmail.co.uk for a membership form and to submit a one off £5.00 subscription to show their interest.
