For those new to the idea of Probus, the name is an acronym for Professional and Business.
They have now had their Annual General Meeting, and Geoff Gadie, the out-going President, thanked all the committee members for all the help they had given him and the club over the last year. Geoff was especially pleased with the number of new members that had been attracted to the club, during his spell as President. He also welcomed the club’s new President, Andrew Jefferson and new Secretary Robin Boeuf, who has taken over from Dennis Beevers, who held the post for three years.

They do have a fully planned programme for next year’s meetings so please have a look at their website under ‘Programme’ to see the dates when these meetings take place.

Retford Men’s Probus Club meet every other Friday morning at Westhill Community Centre, Ordsall at 10.00am. If you are interested in joining them, please email their secretary Robin Boeuf at, and he will give you more details.
