On Wednesday 2nd May, Les Francophiles de Tickhill shall hold their AGM. This is normally speedily despatched. However, this year members shall be voting in a new treasurer, as Peter Chappell has decided to retire after many years in the role. Following this, they shall enjoy the postponed talk by Peter Storey on René Fournier, the French aircraft designer (not French furniture, as advertised on our calendar).
Next month, on 6th June, the group look forward to their annual outdoor Boules competition at the home of one of their members.
Meetings take place at the Parish Room, Tickhill, DN11 9HZ on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm. Refreshments are provided afterwards with a chance to socialise and converse in French. Visitors are welcome at a charge of £3.00. Further details are available from Jan Murray on 07463 007789.
