The speaker at Grove (Retford) WI in October was Simon Buttenshaw, representative of the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre, at Nottingham University and Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. The WI has been raising money for this charity throughout the year as part of the Notts Federation of WIs’ Centenary Challenge. A cheque for £650 was presented to him by members.
