Why not choose a local book this World Book Day?

by | 4 March 2021 | Notice, Retford

Retford Authors Group has kept going throughout the pandemic, and although they have been unable to meet for their regular coffee morning in Retford’s Glasshouse, they have held monthly Zoom meetings to help inspire and motivate each other.
It has been a productive year for its members, with four new books published and four more on the way.
The group’s current membership includes six Retford authors: Graeme Cumming, John Holmes, Lesley Keating, Kevan Pooler, Robert Tansey and Barry Upton, and they are all busy on new projects for 2021’s World Book Day.
But Retford Authors Group members are not just published authors, they also offer support and inspiration to other local writers, having, in the past, set up a monthly stall on Retford Market where local folk stop and chat about all things literary! They hope to be a presence in the town centre again soon. Their fingers are firmly crossed, even while they type their latest manuscripts.
Details about the group, its members, and their wide range of literature can be found on their website at www.retfordauthors.wordpress.com.
So, on 4th March 2021, why not choose a local book for World Book Day!
