The Allotment Project

This Live & Local sponsored dance show will be in the Ordsall Parish Hall, Church Lane on Saturday 16th March at 7.30pm, and will be of special interest to all those who work an allotment.

It is a new piece of dance theatre by choreographer Tim Casson and Friends that celebrates allotments and the communities around them. With interviews from allotment holders of all ages combined with movement that reveals our relationship to the land, nature and each other, it is a heartwarming duet that is gentle, human and humorous, connecting the audience with the joy of growing plants, food and relationships across the four seasons of the year.

The two performers are Lucy Starkey and Bethany Edwards, and their dance has been choreographed by award-winning dancer Tim Casson. The performance has original music by Paul Rogerson and was co-created by allotment holders and community gardeners in various towns in Northamptonshire. The show will be in the round so everyone will have a close relationship with Lucy and Bethany’s performance.

The performance will be followed by refreshments and a Q&A session. Tickets cost £15.00 or £6.50 (under 17s) to include refreshments, and can be obtained from Peter on 07951 253343 or 01777 706433 or Alison on 01777 700220.
