Blast Off! A Musical Space Adventure at Retford Library
Saturday 8th June, 1.00pm to 2.00pm
Join the magnificent orchestral band, The Hubs, for a concert of intergalactic favourites. Performing well known music from Star Wars, ET and Doctor Who, as well as popular classics from composers such as Richard Strauss, this fun family concert offers an exciting introduction to live music and is sure to be out of this world! After the performance, meet the musicians and try out some instruments for yourself. For children aged five to 11. Booking essential. Monthly Tabletop Gaming Day
Saturday 22nd June, 10.00am to 3.00pm. Free drop-in
Calling all gamers! Retford Library is inviting you to attend a new style of board gaming. These games come from all over the world and have a different style and playability than the more traditional board. Don’t worry if you have never played a Tabletop game before, staff are on hand to show you how to start. They also have games suitable for families and for adult gamers of all different ages and experience. Tabletop gaming is becoming one of the more popular styles of gaming all over the country, so if you want to play a game that’s a little different from your normal board gaming experience then please join in.

Writers’ Group

Need advice about family or local history? A local studies librarian will be on hand.

Rattle, Rhyme and Roll
Every Wednesday and Friday, 10.00 to 10.20am
Songs, rhymes and musical instruments for babies and toddlers.

If you are unable to visit your local library, they can arrange for books to be brought to you. A friendly RVS volunteer can bring a selection of books and talking books to you, in your own home.

Many other services are available at the library, including free access to Research, Ancestry, British Newspaper Archive and Which? available on library PCs and free printing for homework. Please ask for details.
