Yes? It seems interminable and it is proving very difficult for many people including both Wednesday (Memory) Group members and volunteers. They all miss their regular meetings and contact with one another but they’re keeping in touch with people via phone and email. Jan, who runs the group, would like to assure everyone that just as soon as it’s safe to resume their meetings they will be doing just that.
Meanwhile, a reminder of some of the resources online that you may find helpful:
• The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust website has lots of information and webcams about local and not so local wildlife;
• A wide range of activities is available by Googling ‘Activities for Older Adults During COVID-19’;
• The dementia specialist Admiral Nurses’ Helpline, 0800 888 6678, is open seven days a week, from 9.00am to 9.00pm Monday to Friday, and from 9.00am to 5.00pm on weekends;
• The Alzheimer’s Society helpline number is 0333 150 3456.
