Volunteering with the RSPCA

Volunteers are crucial to the operation of the RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch, helping in the shops, caring for animals rescued from cruelty, driving RSPCA vehicles, tending to the grounds or fundraising.
Catherine is a regular volunteer who has helped at the Animal Centre on the Great North Road, near Bawtry, for six years. It was her love of animals that encouraged her to volunteer for the RSPCA.

“I always love to hear about our animals finding happiness in their new forever homes,” says Catherine. “As a volunteer, the training and support at the Centre is so good. I am now confident in a variety of grooming ad cleaning routines.”

Although Catherine primarily works with the rabbits, she has a great love of dogs and owns two of her own — Carly and Roxy. Catherine has experience of working with the centre’s cats, dogs and rabbits. Being flexible certainly helps when you work with animals!
