Voglia d’Italia (the Italian Society for South Yorks and North Notts) presents a talk entitled ‘Italy’s Cities of Art through History’ at its upcoming meeting.
Dr Cinzia Bacilieri, University of York, presents an overview of Italy’s renowned heritage, archaeology sites, impressive architecture and historical centres, from the Greek and Roman periods to the modern era. Art appreciation, the concept of “orgoglio italiano” (Italian pride), and the role of art in Italian society will also be discussed.
