Village Harmony recently welcomed Lauren Medlam and two young carers from Tu Vida to receive a cheque for £400 for the charity’s funds. Tu Vida helps children in North Nottinghamshire who care for family members as well as attending school full time. The charity provides space and events where the children can enjoy time away from their duties and meet others in similar situations.
The monies presented were the proceeds of the choir’s Christmas Concert. Village Harmony sang some songs from their repertoire for the three visitors and everyone agreed that they were true heroes.
Village Harmony are glad to be rehearsing together again after the pandemic restrictions and their next concert will be on 17th and 18th June. New singers are always welcome; join them at Sturton Village Hall at 7.30pm on Mondays.
