This month’s wildlife talk at the Idle Valley Centre organised by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s North Notts Local Group will feature one of the area’s most cherished nature reserves – Treswell Wood. Owned by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, the site has been the focus of bird ringing for over 50 years, providing valuable insight into the lives and habits of local wildlife.

The speaker for the evening will be John Clarke of the Treswell Bird Ringing Group, who has extensive knowledge of the wood and its many inhabitants. John has previously given a fascinating and well-received talk on the birds of Treswell, and this time he will expand on that with details of other animals and plants found there, including areas successfully regenerated from farmland. He will also share further updates on the birdlife, making this an evening with something for everyone.
The meeting will be held at the Idle Valley Centre on Thursday 13th November at 7.15pm. Entry is £3.00, which includes tea and biscuits. All are welcome, and there is no need to book in advance.
