One of the key events in the Retford Lions calendar is the annual ‘Tour de Retford’ cycle sportive, this year taking place on Sunday 14th April.
It is a non-competitive event covering scenic North Nottinghamshire and supported by Bridgegate Cycles.
Members of the public are invited to take part and there is a prize for the best outfit on the day as well as a finishers medal. Registration is at 8.00am in the market square.
Choose from two distance routes of 35 and 70 miles. Riders can also count on the Retford Lions who volunteer on the day, helping with registration and performing marshalling duties on the route and manning feed stations. The highlight of the day is the mass start in the market place at 9.00am.
