Are you a past pupil of Retford King Edward VI Grammar School? You are invited to reconnect with others via the Old Retfordians Association, and enjoy a trip down memory lane on their new website, www.oldretfordians.org.uk.

Under their new statute, they say: “The Old Retfordians Association 2021 [ORA] aims to ‘maintain a spirit of comradeship’ between ‘former pupils and staff of the King Edward VI Grammar School, Retford and the King Edward VI School, Retford’.”

As well as organising numerous face-to-face reunions, the Association now runs monthly Zoom reunions, the next being on Wednesday 19th January at 8.00pm. There is no booking required and you can find the link on their website.

Their website is also a great place to view some old photographs of the school, it’s staff and pupils, and you can also catch up on copies of the school magazine, The Retfordian. Thanks to members and Bassetlaw Museum they have various scanned copies from 1914 to 1961. See what you can discover about your old school.

The Old Retfordians Association has existed in various formats over the years and they now have members spanning seven decades, with new members all the time. To register as a member visit www.oldretfordians.org.uk or email oldretfordians@gmail.com.
