The Grove and Hallcroft Methodist Churches together to form the Methodist Church in Retford. Easter is a significant time in the church calendar and a time when the two churches come together to share the journey through Lent to the glory of Easter Day.

Work to revitalise the sanctuary and other areas of the Grove Church is nearly complete, but the services and other events during March will take place in the halls at the back of the church, which are accessed from the car park in Union Street.
The Lunch and Film event in January was a great success. The excellent film The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Society set the theme for the lunch of jacket potatoes and various fillings followed by delicious hot puddings – just right for a winter’s day. £385 was raised, which will go towards the running of the building.
