Aurora Wellbeing Centre, which is based in the Old Library Building in Worksop, is having a fundraiser at Worksop Town Hall on 29th November to commemorate the end of the First World War. Lucy Adlington, renowned historian from ‘The History Wardrobe’, will be giving a talk and presentation exploring life on the home front and the aspirations of women in 1918 as revealed through their clothes, with fascinating first-hand stories and beautiful displays of original workwear and fashions. Anyone who has seen Lucy in the past will not want to miss the opportunity to see the last ever performance of this particular talk with a Christmas twist!
Tickets cost £10.00, which includes sandwiches, tea or coffee, and there will be a licensed bar available. Tickets can be purchased from the reception at Aurora Wellbeing Centre or by calling them on 01909 470985. For more information please email hospitality@aurorawellbeing.org.uk.
