June services and events

Sundays – 10.30am

Morning worship is held each Sunday and includes activities for children. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served afterwards, providing an opportunity for fellowship. Holy Communion is shared on the second and fifth Sundays of the month.

Sunday 1st June – 10.30am

Café Church is an innovative and informal way to explore faith. Bacon rolls and breakfast are served from 10.30am, followed by a short, accessible service. It’s a welcoming space for all ages, ideal for anyone curious about faith or looking for a sense of belonging. Held on the first Sunday of each month.

Sunday 29th June – 10.30am

A special Sound of Musings-themed service will celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Sound of Music. Led by Rev. Bryony Woods, author and broadcaster, the service will reflect on ‘our favourite things’ and the idea of discovering ‘the life we’re born to live’, inspired by the songs and story of the iconic film.

Tuesdays – 3.30pm to 4.45pm (term time)

Lego Club for primary-age children and their parents or carers includes play, snacks and Bible stories. Contact Jane on 01777 948431 for more information. Runs every Tuesday in June.

Wednesdays – 10.30am

Traditional Book of Common Prayer Communion is followed by refreshments and friendly conversation.

Thursdays – 5.00pm

Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet each week. Contact clarecheetham19@gmail.com for more details.

First Tuesday of the Month – 2.00pm to 3.00pm

Grief Café provides a safe and supportive environment for those who have experienced bereavement. Just turn up, or contact Barbara Moakes on 07768 159844 for more information.

Pies, Peas and Performances

Midweek ‘Time Together’ Groups

These small groups meet to explore Christian faith and enjoy fellowship. For more details, contact Jane and Andrew on 01777 948431 or Barbara Moakes on 07768 159844.

The Community Centre also hosts a wide variety of activities including AA meetings, art classes, calligraphy, bingo, Tiny Toes Ballet, and a judo group. For contact details for these groups, phone Martin Dawson.
