Snake Davis rocks

All Saints Church in Gainsborough is pleased to announce that Snake Davis, the internationally-renowned saxophonist, and his band will be appearing at the Church on Friday 28th April at 7.30pm; doors open at 6.45pm.

The programme will include a wonderful mix of soul, world funk and jazz classics, always melodic, always soulful, with original material, plus Snake’s take on the all-time greats by Otis Redding, Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson. Classic sax solos, which were a great hit at his show in Gainsborough last time, are also included, along with vocals of haunting Japanese shakuhachi.

Snake’s playing is effortless and lifts the soul. His quietly spoken anecdotes and descriptions of the pieces that he plays add to the experience, and make you want to explore and discover new things.

There will be an interval during the programme and wine, beer, tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available to purchase. Snake Davis will also be in the foyer to chat with people and will have a selection of the band’s CDs on sale.

Parking is available on the streets around the Church or free parking is available in the town car parks after 6.00pm. The closest car park is Roseway, only three minutes’ walk away.

Tickets are on sale at £15.00 and £12.00 for adults, and £7.00 and £5.00 for children under 16 years.

Snake Davis and All Saints are both keen to encourage young people to go along and experience live music, so family tickets are now available.

Family tickets (two adults and two children under 16 years) are priced at £40.00 and £32.00. They are available locally from All Saints Church Café (01427 611036), Horsleys of Gainsborough or online at
