Rachael Cook is the founder of Sherwood Yarn, which is locally-based and dyes wool and sells knitting kits to make her specially-designed lightweight shawls, sweaters and hats. Rachael is passionate about the timeless quality of her colour dyes, inspired by and named for the heritage of Sherwood Forest.
Using her scientific background to ensure the highest production standards, she hand-dyes small batches of yarns from a family-run mill in Yorkshire. Rachael will show her wools and techniques in a fascinating talk to the North Notts Creative Textile Group at the Goodwin Hall, Chancery Lane, Retford on Wednesday 3rd April at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Non-members are very welcome. An admission charge of £5.00 on the door includes refreshments.
