Assuming the relaxation of restrictions proceeds as planned, it is intended to re-establish the traditional Scarecrow Trail, village-wide Garage Sales and Village Hall Table-Top in East Markham throughout the day of Saturday 24th July.
Further details of how to register entries (Scarecrows £1.00, Garage Sales or Table-Top £5.00) will be circulated online or check with Stuart on 01777 871491. The scarecrow theme is The Olympics.
Refreshments, voting and prize-giving are planned to be in the Village Hall. As usual a free map of all entries will be available and cash prizes will be awarded for the scarecrows voted first, second and third. This year an innovation will be The Scarecrow Trail Cup which will be awarded to creators of the winning entry.
Please note that arrangements may have to change to comply with any new nationwide covid regulations announced between now and the proposed event but as most aspects of the event are outdoors and do not involve large congregations organisers are very hopeful that the day will proceed as planned. The Village Hall postcode for SatNav is NG22 0SS and ample free street parking is available. Everyone is very welcome.
