Ryton Chorale

Saturday 8th July sees the last performance of this season’s series of concerts by Ryton Chorale– the Summer Concert in St Mary’s Church, Tickhill DN11 9LZ at 7.30pm.

Accompanied by Jack Pickford, it will be conducted by Nicholas Thorpe. It will be a concert of lighter music and the programme includes The Sprig of Thyme, a cycle of English, Scottish and Irish folk songs arranged by John Rutter.

Retford u3a Recorder Ensemble and Friends join the choir for well known pieces such as Greensleeves and Scarborough Fair. Soloist Caroline Horne and her accompanist Linda Hepburn-Booth will present their choice of recorder music.

For an evening of easy listening, this is the ideal concert of attractive short pieces in a beautiful setting.
