On Sunday 10th April at 6.00pm see Ryton Chorale’s performance of Stainer’s Crucifixion at Christchurch, Thievesdale Lane, Worksop. This much-loved work is frequently sung close to Easter. Tickets are just £5.00 and can be obtained online from www.rytonchorale.org.uk, on 01909 476402 or from choir members. An interesting feature of this performance is that both soloists, baritone David Wynne and tenor Simon Lumby, are conductors of Ryton Chorale.

On 19th November at The Crossing, the choir celebrates its 40th anniversary with a world premiere of Mass of the Winged Lion by Martin Ellerby. Several social events have been planned over the summer and early autumn, and former members of Ryton Chorale are invited to email the choir on sing@rytonchorale.org.uk for details and dates.

It is a busy year for the choir with the last concert of the season – The High Viennese – on Saturday 2nd July at The Crossing and tickets are still just £10.00. Look out for more details in the May edition.
