Ryton Chorale’s latest report has to start with an explanation and the issue of an apology to its YouTube followers – the launch of the choir’s third recording, which was scheduled for the end of June, was delayed until the middle of July due to frustrating but unavoidable circumstances.
With the better news of the relaxation of many restrictions, the choir will be rehearsing on the last two Mondays of the month, 23rd and 30th August. Anyone who may have thought about joining and who would like to see the choir in live rehearsal will be very welcome to visit and watch or actively take part. Contact the choir by email on sing@rytonchorale.org.uk for details of the time and venue, which is not the usual school hall as the schools are closed during the holidays.
Plans are now in place for the 2021-22 season of concerts which is to include Christmas music, the Poulenc Gloria, Faure’s Requiem and Viennese music. Dates and full details for the forthcoming season will be accessible on the choir’s redesigned website from the beginning of September. The website will benefit from having the advantage of online ticket booking, a facility we have all come to expect. Ryton Chorale is embracing new, up-to-date developments – an exciting time for its members and audience alike.
