Check your pooch’s diary and make a date — the dog show of the year is taking place in Sandall Park, Doncaster, on Saturday 16th June at 11.00am and it promises to be a great occasion for all the family. With the Fun Dog Show, stalls, music and hosting by TraxFM, the event has something to offer everyone.

The RSPCA Doncaster and Rotherham Dog Show and Big Picnic will be taking place on the dog-friendly Old Golf Course in Sandall Park, Doncaster. It is the perfect picnic location for all the family and your dogs will be able to showcase their talents in the fun dog show with classes including: Waggiest Tail, Best Junior Handler, and Sit and Stay.
Families will also be able to join in the annual Big Picnic, which is a national RSPCA event. Every year, supporters of the RSPCA get together to raise money by enjoying a picnic together — this year, our local RSPCA branch is having its Big Picnic at the same time as its fun Dog Show. Entry to the dog show is £2.00 per class/£5.00 for three classes. Registration for the dog show begins at 11.30am, with the show beginning at 1.30pm.

All proceeds from the Dog Show and Big Picnic will go towards supporting the work of the RSPCA South Yorkshire Animal Centre, Bawtry. Last year, the centre rehomed over 890 animals. Their mission is to rehabilitate and rehome vulnerable animals and this work relies on kind donations from the public. Proceeds from events that they organise, provide a vital contribution to the necessary funding so that their work can continue.
