Jacqui Hilson is a textile artist based in Sheffield. Working mainly with silk, velvet, cotton and organza, she creates colourful machine-embroidered pieces. Her many sources of inspiration include Van Gogh, Henry Moore , African art and Celtic patterns. Some of her work will be displayed as she demonstrates and explains her techniques at the meeting of the North Notts Creative Textiles Group at the Goodwin Hall, Chancery Lane, Retford at 7.00pm on Wednesday 6th June. Non-members are very welcome — admission costs £5.00 on the door.
