You don’t have to have brilliant grammar to enjoy putting your thoughts, feelings, ideas, poems and stories, pen to paper, finger to key.
More than 50 local people have been sharing their work at Retford Writers’ Group at the Library for 12 years now.
The group welcomes some new faces to make a dozen or so at meetings for their 13th season.It starts on Thursday 8th September at 2.00pm to 4.00pm and meets fortnightly. It is a Retford Library Community Group so is free to attend.
It is a simple format – welcome, then sharing writing, giving and receiving positive comment, averaging about ten minutes each. That’s it! And remember – if you’re nervous then a haiku or limerick will only take a minute!
