Retford U3A May 2021

The U3A are going to hold a National U3A day on 2nd June. In Retford, they are commemorating this day by having a market stall on Thursday 3rd June and the group shall be giving away mementos to celebrate the occasion. Pop along and say hello.
The new committee will continue to work hard this next year to make Retford’s U3A the best they can make it, with many interest groups now meeting regularly on Zoom (two more groups have start Zooming this last month). Some members are beginning to get together in small groups, socially distancing of course, just to meet up again.
Everybody is welcome to look at Retford U3A’s website (Google Retford U3A) to have a look at what’s going on. If there is a group that attracts your interest, contact the group leader to see if you can join in as a guest. Of course, when they can safely meet up again, they will ask you to formally join the U3A.
They are beginning to think about ‘live’ meetings again at the Well, and also at either the Westhill or Hallcroft Community Centres. The earliest realistically will probably be September, but as yet there has been no final decision.
For further information contact Sue Paul, the group’s membership secretary, on 01777 505008.
