Here is what March has in store for Retford u3a.
The group’s General Meeting is on 23rd March at the Well (2,00pm, non-members welcome). There has been a recent upturn in attendance, with more than 80 at the January meeting.
The March speaker, the wonderfully-named Autumn Rose, will be speaking and delivering a highly interactive workshop aimed at older drivers. Her workshop has won rave reviews from other Nottinghamshire u3as, so do not miss it.
Where would we be without the mobility our cars bring us? Go to the March meeting and see how Autumn Rose can keep everyone on the road.
Membership for Retford u3a has climbed above 500 for the first time since Covid, and now is the time to renew that membership. Membership fees have been held again at £20.00 for 2023, but the committee needs your help. There will be big changes in April when at least three committee posts come vacant. It is a real opportunity to make friends and keep the u3a flying high, so don’t hesitate about coming forward. You will be welcome!
Finally, the April Big Night Out on Friday 14th is already sold out. The group is negotiating with Retford Golf Club for more places, but their dining room and bar is not likely to hold more. Well done to Sue Paul for making it so much fun. Watch for news on the next Big Night Out in June.
