Retford u3a

Retford u3a is pressing on with a full programme of activities in 2022. In January, the first unrestricted General Meeting in two years attracted over 75 members to The Well in Retford.

On 24th March Canon Dick Lewis will be speaking on ‘Trinity Hospital, Past and Present’. Trinity Hospital has been a centrepiece of Retford life for many years. This is an opportunity to find out how it came about and how it continues to serve our town today. Meetings start promptly at 1.30pm at The Well, and refreshments will be served.

Looking ahead, in April the AGM takes place, with some exciting entertainment also planned. The group hopes to see old and new members there! They also want to hear from members who want to take a more active role in the u3a going forward.

There are lots of opportunities for members to join the trustees in ensuring that the Retford u3a continues to grow. It’s not hard and you will make new friends. Speak to Bryan Gladstone or any of the trustees at the next General Meeting to learn more. Find out more at www.retford-u3a.org.uk.
