As the flames of bonfire night diminish, and Halloween seems a distant memory, the Lions move into the Christmas period and prepare for their busiest time of the year.
The group continued its CPR and defib training at Gamston school on 31st October. The training is available free to groups on application.
On 27th November the Christmas lights will be switched on by Santa, who has taken a break from his busy schedule to help the Lions, and will be helping when members take to the streets throughout December. Find him in the Grotto in the town hall on Sunday 27th November from 12.30pm to 6.00pm.

In other news, bulb planting has been completed for this season with new areas being added. Among these is Spa Common. The planting should give a wonderful display in spring, a tribute to the hard work of the planting team.
Again, Lions will be taking part in the annual Christmas Tree Festival at St Swithun’s Church. The event runs from 26th November to 4th December. This festival demonstrates the artistic and imaginative talents of many local businesses and organisations in the town.
