BPL staff from Retford Leisure Centre laced up their hiking boots and took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, raising £840 for the Weston Park Cancer Charity. A Family Fun Day, celebrating 10 years since the opening of the new Retford site, also raised £4,202.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks walk is approximately 24 miles long and has an elevation of over 1,000m, tackling the Peny-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough peaks.

Duty officer at Retford Leisure Centre, Charlotte Clarke, commented: “I feel so proud to have completed the challenge alongside my colleagues. The day was not only physically tough but mentally as well. It was a roller coaster of emotions for us all throughout the walk. I can’t believe the amount of funds we have raised and the amazing support we had throughout. Thank you to all who have donated.”
