What a month at the Inner Wheel Club of Retford!
The Charter lunch held at Ye Olde Bell was a resounding success. Good food, good company and an acknowledgement of the successful 77 years of Retford Inner Wheel.
Contrary to expectation, members discovered they could all draw! Michele Honey Floyd (of Retford Rotary Club) was the guest speaker and members all drew a great still life guided by Michele. Many have taken these newfound skills home and some are enjoying demonstrating them to friends and family.
There was also a fundraising coffee morning for Breast Cancer Now, held at the home of a member on Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The event proved very popular and raised more than £340 for what is one of President Marie’s charities this year.
A group attended a talk by local author K L Lovely, hosted by Warsop Inner Wheel Club at the Hostess Restaurant. She was born in Nottinghamshire, and it was very interesting to hear her life experience and be aware of how it is reflected in her books.
Everyone is welcome at Ye Olde Bell every second Thursday of the month at 5.30pm for 6.00pm.
