There is a trailer / train ride theme to the social / fundraising activities of Retford Inner Wheel this month.
The train ride took place on a visit to Maureen Haywards’s brilliant garden at Laneham. This was arranged by President Marie and Maureen and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The monies raised are to be split between NGS (National Garden Scheme) and Bassetlaw Hospice.
The trailer ride was part of the visit to a strawberry farm at North Wheatley – hosted by Marion and Alec Tasker. Strawberries and scones and a guided tour of the farm combined to make a great and interesting outing. The monies raised at the event are to be split equally between Retford Inner Wheel and Rotary clubs.
