Over the Easter weekend one of Retford District MS Society Support Group’s members, Rosie Pickering, took part in the Yorkshire Dales Divide Cycling event to raise funds for the group and they’d like to take this opportunity to thank her once again for her ongoing dedication and sheer determination to achieve the challenges she sets herself.

The group’s monthly coffee, cake and chat will take place on Friday 5th May at 10.30am at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford DN22 7BD. Anyone who is affected by MS will be welcomed by the friendly group members and supporters.

On Monday 8th May following on from the Coronation Weekend, the group will be taking part in King Charles III’s Initiative ‘The Big Help Out’. The idea is to encourage the local community to explore ways in which they can volunteer their time to help the local community.

Their stall at the Retford Lions Club event in King’s Park will depict MS through the ages and how getting involved can help the group maintain its services to local people with MS. Please go along and say hello and see how it’s possible to improve your overall wellbeing by volunteering or taking part in the activities provided by the group.

Regular Zoom meetings for physiotherapy / exercise / wellbeing sessions, quizzes and chats will take place every week.

Retford District MS Society Support Group is part of the UK charity the MS Society. The group is here to support you and your loved ones to live well with MS and new members will be given a very warm welcome. For further information please telephone 01777 860674 or email retford@mssociety.org.uk.
