Retford District MS Society Support Group’s monthly coffee, cake and chat will take place on Friday 4th July at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford DN22 7BD at 10.30am until 12.00pm. Anyone who is affected by MS will be welcomed by the friendly group members and supporters.
Last month they were pleased to welcome David Gaskell from Home Instead Care Company, who gave an interesting insight into how their carers can support people to remain in their homes.
Looking ahead, the Group’s fundraising Swimathon is being held on Sunday 12th October 2025 between 12.00pm and 2.00pm at Retford Leisure Centre. Swimmers of all abilities with a connection to the group would be very welcome to join in. Funds raised allow the group to provide more activities and exercise equipment to members of the local MS community. Zoom meetings for physiotherapy / exercise / wellbeing sessions and chat continue on a weekly basis. As a group, they promote exercise to benefit health and wellbeing and provide exercise equipment for the home where needed. They’re also taking part in the Wednesday Wellness Project.
