Retford District MS Society Support Group ’s monthly coffee, cake and chat will take place on Friday 6th October at 10.30am to 12.00pm at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford DN22 7BD. Anyone who is affected by MS will be welcomed by the friendly group members and supporters.
The group’s annual fundraising Swimathon is being held on Sunday 8th October at Retford Leisure Centre between 12.00pm to 2.00pm. Further information and sponsorship forms are available from Barbara on 07983 412161. Funds raised allow the group to provide more activities and exercise equipment for local people with MS.
On Friday 13th October, Retford Little Theatre is hosting an Evening at the Movies with ABBA’s Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again Singalong. The event is being organised by member and supporter Jo Pritchard from the Pilates Clinic and proceeds from the evening will be donated to the group.
Looking ahead to November, the group is holding a pre-Christmas fundraiser at The Well on Friday 3rd November. Stalls will include tombola, preloved Christmas decorations and bric-a-brac plus a cake stall.
Regular Zoom meetings for physiotherapy, exercise and wellbeing sessions, quizzes and chats will take place every week.
