You will find a warm welcome in a spacious, comfortable room, with enthusiastic singers and an inspirational leader. The cost is £5.00 per session, half price for anyone on means tested benefits.
The choir for everyone has sung a whole range of songs in recent months. Back in September they held an open session in Retford Town Hall on Heritage Day, when the audience listened or joined in as they wished. The choir dipped into well-loved medleys, then celebrated sunshine and blue skies and visited Jamaica and South Africa in song.
Later that month they remembered the late Queen with a song from every decade of her long life from the 1920s to the 1980s. In October, they tackled a whole range of harmonies just for their own enjoyment, and paid tribute to people in Ukraine, Palestine and elsewhere.
Nearer to Christmas they had a repertoire on the theme of stars, performed as part of the Grove Methodist Church Star Festival. Variety is the spice, as they say!Singing is therapeutic for body and mind. It improves breathing and soothes the soul. The Singers are part of a global community who know the joy and solace of singing together. Go and try it.
