Once again, Retford Charter Day will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May.
The whole of the town will be celebrating the granting of the Royal Charters which allowed Retford to become a thriving market town. Head into the town centre for a fun-filled family day out.
The Main Arena in the park will host MAD, a Mountain Bike Display Team, the Crazy K9 fun dog show (all dogs welcome to enter) and Harworth Brass Band.
The performance area in the Park and the Town Hall will be showcasing dancing from our local dance schools and a very talented singer.
The Market Square will house funfair games and rides, while the Fire Station will host demonstrations and the Majestic Theatre will be open all day.
Keep your eyes peeled just after 2.00pm when, weather permitting, there will be one or two Spitfires flying over the town and park.
And, of course, at 3.15pm the ever-popular Lions Duck Race will take place on the River Idle in Kings Park.
There is still time to be involved too. Contact the organisers at either retfordcharterday@gmail.com or retfordcharterday@outlook.com.
