In June Retford Bowling Green unveiled two plaques as a thank you for kind donations and years of support for two members who have sadly passed away. Ann Yorath unveiled a plaque outside the changing rooms that have been refurbished this year after a kind donation she made in memory of her husband Mervyn Yorath.

President Biddy Johnson unveiled a plaque outside the kitchen, that again has been refurbished, thanks to a donation by Maria Revill (who unfortunately could not join them) in memory of Tony Revill. Ann also took the time to say thank you to all the members who have given their time to make such fantastic use of the donations made.

The bowling season is now in full flow and the latest of the club’s Sunday competitions has just finished, The RBG Mixed Fours. After three matches, there were only two teams with a maximum six points and they faced each other in the final. It was a close game, with the winning team pulling away to a 10 – 6 victory at the end. The winning team were Clive and Sue Hancock and Michele and Dave Nightingale. Runners up were Amanda and Paul Jenner and Gail and Chris Black.
