The bowling season is now well underway at Retford Bowling Green and there is something happening on their green seven days a week.
Their members have completed two of the club’s major internal competitions.
Their Secretaries Fours has a mix of Singles, Pairs, Trips and Fours all bowled on the same day. After a long day’s bowling, the winning team were Millie Satchell, Carol Norman, Sue Bradford and Chris Bromley.
The Retford Bowling Green Open Pairs has also been held at the club.
The final resulted in two of the club’s long-standing husband and wife teams facing off against each other. The winners were Mandy and Chris Cooper and the runners-up were Sue and Fred Mills.
The club’s players are also progressing very well in the county competitions. They have one player already through to the County Semi Finals as well players in four other Nottinghamshire Quarter Finals.
