One of the highlights of July at the Retford Arts Hub was the new Creative Sewing club.
The club meets on the first and third Saturday of every month from 10.30am to 12.30pm. It is a great place to meet like-minded people and develop your ideas and skills on the club’s sewing machines. At only £5.00 per session, it is very affordable and great fun.
New faces are welcomed to this friendly group, whether you are experienced or a beginner. For more information visit the Arts Hub on Churchgate or call on 01777 860414 between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
The other success story for this school term has been the Saturday morning Kids Club, sponsored by Retford Art Society and run by volunteers from the Society and the Arts Hub.
The success of these sessions has meant that although they only run during school term time, they will be running again in September.
Meanwhile, there are four holiday sessions for 7- to 11-year-olds during August:

- Wednesday 9th August: Yarn Mandalas
- Monday 14th August: Exploring Shape and Colour
- Thursday 24th August: Painting and Decorating Wooden Houses
