Retford Art Society has not planned a demonstration or workshop during August, but this is a notice of something happening in September. A bus trip is arranged to Staithes Art Festival, always a popular destination, on Saturday 13th September.
If you would like a place on the bus, book ahead via retfordartsociety@yahoo.co.uk or contact any member of the committee. The cost is £20.00 for members or £25.00 for non-members. The Society’s plein air groups will be out and about in the local area making the best of the summer weather. If you would like to join them get in touch via the above email. They paint in a variety of places.
There will be no life drawing sessions this month because so many people are away on holiday, but the Swan Studio will be open every Tuesday evening from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and Friday afternoons, 2.00pm to 4.00pm. These sessions are becoming increasingly popular with beginners. There is no charge and non-members can expect a warm welcome and encouragement. The Swan Studio is at the bottom of Carolgate, underneath the arch and over the bike shop.
