This is holiday month, and Retford Art Society members are abroad, at the seaside or just relaxing around home and, probably, painting! Painting away for this year’s Autumn Exhibition, which will be in the Grove Street Methodist Chapel once again.
So get out your inks and brushes, charcoal and pencils and settle down in a corner; the Society is looking forward to some wonderful new pictures using the techniques demonstrated in demos and workshops this year.
Life Drawing will continue in the Swan Studio with the next session booked for Wednesday 28th August, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. The cost for non-members is £7.00.
The Swan Studio is open as usual for communal painting on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and Friday afternoons from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at no cost. Newcomers are welcome and members look forward to supporting and encouraging them.
