Would you like to be involved in a special project to mark this year’s Remembrance?

If you enjoy knitting or crocheting, or know a group or friend who would like to take part, help is needed to create a large collection of handmade poppies for a community display being organised by the Retford and District Branch of the Royal British Legion. Poppies can be any size and made using any pattern, and patterns can be provided if required.

Participants are encouraged to gather their yarn, hooks and needles and create poppies together, as a large number will be needed for the project.
Finished poppies can be dropped off at The Hub, Cannon Square, Retford, DN22 6PB. Contributions are requested by the end of August.

For more information, contact Jane on 07762 259622. On Sunday 10th May, the Retford and District Branch will attend a dedication service at the War Memorial in Market Square at 2.30pm.

Members of the Armed Forces community are warmly invited to attend.
