The countdown is on for the much-loved Ranskill and Torworth Festival 2026, which returns on Saturday 13th June at Ranskill Park, starting at 1.00pm.
This popular community event promises a fun-filled afternoon for all ages, with a lively programme of entertainment throughout the day. Visitors can enjoy live music from a brass band, a cheerleading performance, a school choir and a dance display from a local dance school. Traditional favourites, including children’s races, will also return alongside plenty of games and activities for younger visitors.
There will be a wide range of stalls showcasing local businesses and community groups. Among those attending are Bunnies Bakes, Flowers by Kay, jewellery and stationery stalls, and a dedicated plant stall. Local organisations including the Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies, WI and Ranskill Bowls Club will also be taking part, offering games, ice cream and a traditional tombola.
Families can also look forward to go-karts, inflatables and a visit from a fire engine, emergency call-outs permitting, as well as face painting and other children’s attractions. Food and drink will once again play a big part in the festival, with visitors able to enjoy a hog roast, pizza vendors and a licensed bar run by The Blue Bell Inn. A cake and coffee stall is also planned.
The event is proudly supported by Brightgreen Spinal Health, whose sponsorship has helped cover the significant costs involved in organising an event of this size, including licences, waste management, toilets, PA systems, generators and local authority requirements. Ranskill Parish Council has also funded two event shelters, providing additional space for visitors to relax and enjoy the day.
Organisers are still keen to hear from anyone willing to volunteer, donate raffle prizes or contribute plants for the plant stall. With strong community support and an exciting programme planned, this year’s festival is shaping up to be another wonderful day for Ranskill and Torworth.
