Serving Retford, Worksop and Gainsborough, the local RAF Association branch has over 100 members – like-minded people who enjoy the camaraderie, monthly meetings and informal social events on all matters aviation and RAF.
If you think you would like to join them, why not pay a visit? They meet on the first Monday of each month at the Babworth Road Sports and Social Club at 7.00pm. You will be made very welcome.
Through a network of Honorary Welfare Officers, the Association identifies members of the RAF ‘family’ in the community who require assistance and provides support and advice about assistance and funding from other organisations.
Volunteering for the RAF Association is a great way of developing your skills and meeting new people, at the same time as supporting members of the RAF community in your local area who need your help.
Volunteers supporting the Association will benefit from:
- Making a real difference to the lives of people in the community
- The opportunity to learn new skills and develop existing ones
- Full training and ongoing support, in a variety of roles
- Instant access to guides and resources for volunteers
- A sense of pride knowing you have helped someone from the RAF community
